WHAT IS DOUBLE CLEANSING AND HOW IS IT PERFORMED?

Double cleansing is the first step of skin care for those who want luminous and uniform facial skin . It consists of cleansing the face with two different products: a foaming agent for contrast and an oily one by affinity. 

The first product to use is a oily cleanser by affinity , as its composition works by binding to the fat of the skin such as sebum, makeup or impurities. Products of this type can be in the form of butter, oil or milk which must be used for cleansing. Their characteristic is that they do not produce foam , carrying out their task by massaging them on the face .

The second product for this cleansing method is a foaming formula containing surfactants, which works by contrast . Surfactants _ they allow liquids to mix, allowing water to bind with fats present on the skin. This happens thanks to micelles that trap the impurities , sebum and make-up and which come into contact with water transported away . Products of this type are micellar waters, mousse and gel cleansers . This type of cleansing is called contrasting due to the fact that it is more aggressive than the other, as removes , in addition to dirt, part of the lipid film of the skin.
